Lately there have been new 2012 books been published that tell a different story than the mainstream media use to publish on the 2012 Mayan Prophecies. Here’s my review of 1 of these books that is written by James Michael Sayer. The book is actually an extensive package of 2012 information and is called 2012 Official Countdown.
So what’s all the hype with this Mayan Calendar?
The ancient Mayan Calendar predicts the world coming to an end on December 21st 2012. That would be in some form the ultimate doomsday and predictions are mentioning apocalypses like polar shift, floods, etc.
The official countdown guide does an excellent job of explaining all the possible situations that could occur in 2012 and providing a solid foundation for each one, answering all the why’s. James goes into all the prophecies, including those made by the Indigenous Americans, Mayas, Hopi people, Merlin, Sybils, the Hindu, the Celts, Mother Shipton, Nostradamus, the Bible, the Druids, and the Web Bot Project.
Having read through a couple of other mayan prediction books it was a very nice change to be able to easily read this guide without wracking my brain over trying to understand all the math and theory. Basically it’s the ideal guide for someone who wants to get all the info without having to read until 2012 to understand it all!
Good Things about the book:

- Very detailed and really unique information
- Instead of being purely a Mayan Calendar prophecy guide it makes numerous connections which solidifies many predictions all the more.
- Not only knowledge but also practical advice how to deal with it

- 2012 Experts may find they know a great deal of the information, although some small details may still surprise them.
- If you look for Mayan-only information, you better look somewhere else
My Verdict:
for all people that want to spin out every detail on what will happen on 21st December 2012 and who want to prepare themselves in a practical on the possible doomsday and apocalyptic events that might occur. This package is very comprehensive and applicable for everyone who cares.
